Hollow eyes

by Nil   Feb 8, 2006

Written a few months ago

do you know her hollow eyes.
cry tears when no one can see
when they are hidden from the world
when that fake smile fades away
they cry rivers of saltine blood

and when her eyes are like concrete
she's only hiding behind them
fearing the world and their own eyes
glaring her away into nothing...

and when she doesn't say her feelings
she's screaming the words on paper
since her voice always fails her
when she needs it most

and she feels her heart break
whenever she looks your way
even though it was
the other way around
just yesterday

you're about to fall asleep
and she's helpless to keep you awake
she's silently dying inside
since she's holding her own hand
instead of yours

she wishes time would fade away
before that one moment ever came
before both hearts were torn apart
before she was to blame
it was her fault
it's all this way
and the one thing she can say is
she's so sorry..
