I always thought a rose was a symobl.
a symbol of love and happiness.
with its beautiful blood red petals,
so soft and smooth,
every time you touch them it sends chills down your spine.
but why when you get farther down to the steam,
and you run your hands to hold on close,
the thorns stab deep causing you to bleed?
is this a sign?
a sign that all love is, is pain...?
something that scars you,
causing you to bleed,
to cry.
how can something so beautiful be so crule,
so painful.
