Beautiful Girl: Part III

by Poetvoices   Feb 8, 2006

ENJOY THE LAST CHAPTER OF THE NAMELESS GIRL'S WRITTEN JOURNEY!

A beautiful woman stands in the cemetery.
She tosses flowers to her mother's grave.
A nameless man walks in behind her
thinking of how she's been so brave.

She doesn't notice he's there.
He's helped her through her days.
He won't visit her in the crowd of people.
He decides to go away.

She turns around as the gate creaks shut.
She sees him walking away.
She doesn't care who he is.
She's felt so much today.

He feels a sense of pride
that she's grown so pretty and strong.
He's surprised she still has it with her.
After all, it has been so long.

One tear drops down from her eye
and settles on her nose.
She looks down at her teddy bear.
She walks through the people--to home she goes.
