Look into her eyes
Try to imagine your in her place
It's not clear the way she's feeling
By the look upon her face

She tries to hide the sorrow with laughter
She smiles to hide the tears
Her heart is heavy and empty
From losing her love from recent years

Even with all the heartbreak and suffering
All on that night it came,
She holds her head high and tries not to cry
She still laughs and talks just the same
