Of all the happy days
I saw your smiling face
The days that I would hear you laugh so loudly
I never could have guessed
That you would put yourself to rest
The horror, is just too much to bear

I keep expecting you to be there
and it gets realer every day
That times like that are over
And times like now are here to stay

I didn't know you well
But death doesn't seem to care

And it don't stop the shock or grief
the numbness in the hallway
the tissues on the floor
sad faces and red eyes
all because you had to die...

we don't know why you did it
I suppose we never will
We do know that we loved you
Lord know how much we'll miss you
But now only time can tell
Our wounded hearts will heal again
but there will always be a scar
a scar that read the name of
