The choice to bleed

by Sarah Ann   Feb 9, 2006

Love is only the biggest crime
Almost never does it succeed,
For if you give your heart away
You're allowing it to bleed

It comes at times unexpected
And brings your life off track
Suddenly you feel like faking things
And making up for what you lack

Love is like a porcelin doll,
Almost too precious to break
and yet it's like a test for you
Asking, how much can you take

The tears, the lies, the cheats and cries
Are wars within your heart
And sooner or later feelings grow weak
Forcing you both apart

Yes. Love is only the biggest crime
Almost never does it succeed,
For if you give your heart away
It is destined to only bleed.
