My rope that always hangs

by candace   Feb 9, 2006

Lying in the dark
with tears in her eyes
she seems to joke about the old times
she can\'t stand up because her knees are too weak...

so lonely and depressed as she lays in the bed
alone in the darkness
she wishes she was dead

\"he use to sleep rite here everynite\"
she sleeps in his spot to help he fall asleep at nite

she crys thinking of the good times they had together
wanted to marry this man
but now she can\'t do no better

laying in the bed lonely and depressed
she finally gets the strength to get out of that bed

she finds this rope thats left in her closet
she ties it up and smiles and says
...\"you can\'t want me if i was dead\"

she goes and ties it up to the nearest shelve she made.

a tear falls out of her bloodshot eyes
the eyes that cry every single nite
she tightens the rope and says \"goodbye\"
jumps off of the bed...
never hits the floor...
floating in air....

she wants to forget it now
she feels she made the wrong choice
she let him win
once again
dead again
killed her soul that cared
she wakes up
but no one knoes she\'s there
