A friendship that once was

I hate the way that life can bring,
You down to earth so quick,
I hate the way it messes up,
When you think everything is perfect.
People you know,
Let you down so much,
It makes you weary,
About the people you trust.
You grow up thinking,
You know someone so well,
But then you realise,
Their just putting you through hell.
I used to know someone,
We were best friends for 9 years,
But everything that happened,
Just ended up in tears.
It was never gonna last,
I should have opened my eyes,
I should have seen her,
Through all those lies.
Ill never again trust somebody,
The way i trusted her,
Never again would i put myself,
Through that much hurt,
Life changes,
People have to move on,
Right now i just need to,
Keep holding on.
