Love is a battle field

by skye   Feb 10, 2006

The heart is a precious
and rare gift
placed in the delicacy of our hands
to be medaled with
tampered and tortured
rescued only by the soft caress of love
and murder by he heavy burden of rejection
as tough as the object of a diamond
yet shatters like glass in an instant
strangled by the depths of breakups
consumed by emotion and love
depressed by disastrous forces
conquered by satisfying greed
ready to clasp hold of victory
we engulf another heart
flying away to join the land of love
we forget our selves
smash into a thousand pieces and crumble to the floor
rebuilt in stages
bandaged and mended
slowly pumping life through our veins
keen to embrace another battle field
and survive to tell the story

Wow that was inspirational to all who have ever loved or been through heartbreak . . . I really felt u expressed something that most people dont always want to admit to when it comes to love . . . .
