False Love

by Momentary Relapse   Feb 10, 2006

Your words of love echo here
Inside the remnants of my heart
You pretend to care for me
In truth you tear me apart

Every time I lose control
Tears come of frustration and hate
And each time you never help
You watch until it is too late

Pain in my soul riddled with scars
Still your hollow love is a deep cut
And my tears mingle with the red
Feeling them escape despite eyes tightly shut

Your love is all I am craving
Rather than give it you leave me pleading
Begging you to return the emotion
And my heart will continue its bleeding

This facade we both put on
Hides the fact we'll never know love
Our false happiness is our mask
Keeping us stranded as lies fly above

Great poem...but not one of your best...you didnt use your mastery of words in this one as much as you do in a few of your other poems. Most of your poems are really good...it sux it takes you a while to submit new ones...but i kinda understand...

I liked the poem and the way it came across. It shows that you don't have to have a poem that ryhmes to make it a great poem.
