The Great Comparison

by Kyle Schulz   Feb 10, 2006

Our race says we are superior,
That we are above the rest of life,
Nature has no consequence to us,
The human race has little strife,

But which are the beings,
That kill other creatures for fun,
What will happen, where will we be?
When all of nature is done,

Which are the ones,
That kill our own offspring?
Who murder, rape, and pillage,
And we are the “higher being?”

Before they even are born,
We wipe out their identity,
Before they can laugh, cry or be angry,
Before anyone of them can truly feel free,

No one can truly judge,
What we can or can’t do,
But use a little common sense,
We do all have that, its true,

We are slowly killing our world,
Destroying all of life,
Will humans or nature survive this ordeal?
Our own demise is a cold black knife,

So now I have to ask,
In the great picture of all,
Who really is the better being?
Because of human ignorance, the earth will fall.
