The love song has not died

by Timothy   Feb 11, 2006

Time has moved on,
And the "good times" sometimes seem to have fled;
Pain and suffering seem paramount,
And the romance seems to be dead.

Life isn't always exciting,
I wish it wasn't so;
The hot-pink passion; once upon a time,
May have seemed to grow old and yellowed.

But the rhythm of my heart,
It still beats only for YOU;
Nothing has changed; my affections are alive,
As strong and as rigid as an age-old statue.

Life would be incomplete without you,
And I really don't want to think of that emptiness;
Like a flower without sunshine,
A brush without a canvas.

Yes, maybe I haven't been showing it as often,
But the love song has not died...maybe just misplaced;
But the melody pulses on the whispering wind,
And upon our lips, a mutual kiss...that love still graced.
