Black Cape, Bright Blue Eyes

by Psychopathic   Feb 12, 2006

On a cold winter’s night,
a woman covered in a black cape
walks rushedly through a wooded park.
As she walks past a pond,
she stops and peers at the frozen body of water
as if searching for her reflection.
She turns away from the pond,
tears streaming down her face from bright blue eyes.
Those bright blue eyes hiding things.

Her head snaps back
as a scream echoes through the woods.
She stoops quickly to the pond
and breaks the ice.
She cleanses her face
from whatever stained it
and rises with haste
She starts rushing to get out of the park,
constantly looking over her shoulder.
Soon she hears the police with their dogs.
She starts running.
She comes upon the fence
that surrounds the entire park.
It is ten feet high and there is no exit in sight.
She grabs a hold of the bars
and just keeps her face toward them
with her black hood up.

Soon the police and their dogs
come upon her standing there.
They tell her to turn around.
“I don’t think you want me to do that”, she warns.
They yell at her to face them.
She turns.
They all freeze,
even the dogs.
She bears her fangs with a smile
and her bright blue eyes sparkle with mischief.
She turns suddenly,
leaps over the fence,
and disappears with a swish of her black cape.

The snow starts falling again,
and as it piles up,
it starts to cover the blood stained snow
that was left
by the black caped, bright blue eyed woman’s feast.
