The Five Elements

by Psychopathic   Feb 12, 2006

Fire burns.
She sears and scorches everything in her path.
Her retribution is swift and destructive.
Yet, she is tender, kind, and sweet,
but at the same time,
fierce, deadly, and free.
Her anger is swift,
but her love is strong.

Water falls.
He cools and refreshes everything he meets.
He puts out Fire's anger.
He calms her and controls her destruction.
Water is peaceful and soothing,
but he, too, can become very angry
causing severe destruction.

Earth sustains.
He keeps life sacred.
He is very peaceful and serene.
But he can be very tricky,
and his anger is great.
When his wrath comes down,
however rarely,
many suffer pain and destruction.

Wind blows.
She sings sweet songs
and makes leaves dance in her currents.
She blows and flows through the sky,
touching everyone she meets.
But she is an instigator,
for she adds to Fire’s rage and Water’s anger.

The strongest of elements
is one of a lasting nature.
Love is the greatest element of them all.
She is beautiful, free, strong, and lasting.
No one can destroy her
if she is in her truest form.
Love will endure until the end of time.
Even when Fire burns out, Water evaporates,
the Earth diminishes, and the Wind ceases to blow,
Love will exist in the hearts of men.
