Wishing Upon a Star

The pounding of the storm
Won't help me no more.
On this rainy day,
Where the clouds won't go away.

An aching in my heart
Doesn't know where to start.
The pain just seems to go
And never ends.

I don't know what to do.
I don't know what to say.
I just can't believe,
That you walked away from me.

It was the dead of the night,
When you took flight.
Out my door
With my whole world.

I still can see,
Deep inside my mind,
The look in your eyes
As you shut that door,
Cutting of the storm.

My love.
My one and only you were,
And still are.

I want you to know
I hold hope in my hands,
That I will see you again.

Everyday I pray
For God to return you.
Cause I still love you
And miss you dearly.

No matter where you are,
I'll keep hoping
For you to come home.

Nothing will make me forget
That look in your eyes,
