Between Them

Between them

A girl
Emotions mixed
Feelings of anxiousness
As she watches the relationship
It gradually grows
Into to something more
More than a friendship
A kiss on the cheek
She interprets it
A kiss on the cheek
â??You are my friendâ??
A kiss on the forehead
â??Iâ??m happy for now.â??
Does he like me still?
She thinks
She is scared.
She is fearful of getting hurt.
Before the pain almost killed her
And again, it will
She is knowledgable
A boy
Emotions set
On a track
Feelings satisfied
As he watches the relationship
It gets better and better
Into what he pictured
More than a friendship
Much more
He kisses her on her forehead
It means I love you
He kisses her on her cheek
It means I want to be with you forever
I think I love her
He is sure.
He is in love
He is content.
Feelings are compared
They do not match
But they are perfect
They fill oneâ??s void
They fill oneâ??s unhappiness
They believe in love
But they do not know
In time, it will be over
Just like any other one
It is special
For a time
She cries
He moves on
She cries
He meets a girl
And his life moves on
While hers is stuck in the moment
Hurt again
Crying again
The cycle has returned
