The rose that grew from concrete

by rose that growsfrom concrete   Feb 12, 2006

I believe a rose
can grow from concrete
proving the laws of life wrong
growing with out natures song
playing its own tune of life
it needs not the sun to grow
all water to feed its dried roots
no this rose quinches its own thirst
it proves wrong
the laws of the universe
and grows not on physical features
but grows simply on the act of faith
this rose is its own teacher
it grows through its mind
beliveing what others have doubted
being denied water and sun
yet this rose still sprouted
because it sall the beauty
of what it could become
while others doubted its growth
this seed remained strong
and now today stands with a beauty
with such pride that cant be torn
yes this rose that grew
with its mind being the sun
feeding it with energy
now stands and greets others
as they stop and admire its beauty
that long ago was not seen
through no eye but its own
now stands with a beauty
from the fact that it has grown
