That Other Woman

by 100Percent_inlove   Feb 12, 2006

Remember when mom would wake up
And you'd have breakfast in bed,
Or that you told her you loved her
When you had just been wed?

Remember when mommy burned a pan
And all you did was laugh and kiss,
Or how you chased her down the hallway
When I was three?gosh how I miss this.

Remember how happy you were
Because I looked just like you,
And how you treat us now
Simply for everything we do?

Mom works all day to give us food.
She really kills herself, poor mom.
While you sleep with that other woman
And of the memories mentioned, you bring back none.

That other woman,
The one you treat better than your wife.
I'm seventeen father, I'm not stupid.
I know the reality in life.

But mom still trusts you
Because she loves the one she wed.
God, please give her strength
When she sees you and the other in bed.

Give my brother realization
To see it the way I do,
So that he doesn't take the wrong paths,
But rather follows you.

Don't let my sister find out,
She loves him too much.
Help grandma give mom support,
More than I have, but like such.

Don't worry about me.
Everything will be fine.
I'll make sure mom's husband
Won't be anything like mine.
