I gave you my heart and my soul,
my promise and my word.
but what did you give me?
a handful of lies and hatred,
and months of heartbreak and pain.
what did i do to deserve this?
you acted like i was everything you ever needed.
you told me you loved me.
you told me you stayed up at night just thinking about me.
but once again, those were just some of your lies.
like how you said she was just your friend,
i had nothing to worry about.
so i didn't worry,
and now you're with her and I'm here all alone feeling sorry for myself.
