Hope

The walls are closing in on me
Time is standing still
Everything goes dark as if
I've taken some kind of pill

Friends that used to be so close
Are now so far away
It begins to get much harder
Just to make it through the day

Thoughts are racing in my head
Back and forth they go
Joy or anger, which to choose
Does anybody know

If only she could go back
Before her time begun
And make her life much easier
Her childhood much more fun

Instead she's stuck in here and now
A shitty life behind her
She hopes for the future
For happiness around her
