That Which Becomes Me

by myshiningstar14   Feb 13, 2006

The silence of
your tormenting
words, the
constant glares,
the never-ending
fights that have
burned my heart
into the ashes
that lye on your
bedroom floor.

The tears that
caress my lonely
face, and as the
mascara kisses
my skin, my soul
hurts still, like a
knife-blade that
pierces me stiff.
And when I'm
alone in my bed,
I find that I can
still hear you
whisphring my
name.

The pain that
builds these
emery binds,
that hang from
this bleeding
heart. The
icy tears that
drip, drip,drip
into the
lonliness that
becomes me.

Your shadow
that creeps in
the fog of my
warm tears.
And along
with, my
silent
screams, I
fade into
the night.

I enjoyed this piece immensely. There was something about it that I really enjoyed. Thanks for commenting on what I have written though I believe most not as good as it should be. But yours was well done.

I really liked this poem. It reminds of a scorned lover.
Bye the way I am glad that you like my work, but I can't tell you how I am able to write the way I do. I just kind of start typing and it kind of comes on its own.
