I like it...

by Jess   Feb 13, 2006

I like it when it's raining cause you cannot see,
That the water on my cheek is coming from me.

I like it when it's loud cause you cannot hear,
My heart beating louder when you are near.

I like it when it's dark cause you cannot see,
That inside my head, from you I'll never be free.

I like it when it's cold cause you cannot feel,
How it is to be me when these feelings are real.

But it doesn't really matter what it's like around,
Cause you'll never see me or hear these sounds.

And to me these matter, not more but less,
Cause whatever's around me, my head's still a mess.

And so whether there's sun or rain I will see,
That the water on my cheek is coming from me.

And whether its loud or quiet I'll hear,
My heart beating louder when you are near.

And whether its dark or light I will see,
That inside my head, from you I'll never be free.

And whether its warm or cold i will feel,
Cause I'm always me, and it'll always be real.

And so though I love you, maybe you're not the one,
Because you can't see me, maybe I should have gone...

To Chris, i can never believe this; show me its wrong...

    Wow, That's really good.
    I like almost cried.
That poem, I'm sure, is true for many other people, as well.
    Sorry if you're having issues.
    Great poem though. =)
