Change

I realized that people change
When she signed those papers
It wasn't a c-ya later
but a good bye forever
She hasn't been the same since that fateful day
She never came to see us
She told so many lies
As our naivete led us to believe them
Before i knew it
I had turned my head to everything she said
i stopped waiting for her to show up
I didn't even pack for her weekends
It's been six years now,
she's just a picture in my mind.
Sometimes, I wonder why she left,
then, i just reassure myself
SHE NEVER LOVED ME ANYWAYS!
