even though we are not together

I planned this day awhile back
thinking it would still be
but now i sit at home tonight
and all there is is me
we were suppose to go have dinner
at the fanciest place around
but tonight I'm eating frozen dinners
in my house, there is no sound
we were suppose to watch a movie
where we would laugh cause our love was like theirs
but tonight i sit at home alone
thinking no one even cares
we were suppose to lie in your bed
gazing into each others eyes
saying to each other
our love is not the one to die
so on this valentines day
i sit at home by myself
gazing into your eyes
of your picture of my shelf
and on this valentines day
you are still in my heart
no one can ever take your place
because to me, we are never apart
and for the next valentines day
i hope we can be together
