Her Secret

by ~*~Yours-Truly~*~   Feb 14, 2006

She hid behind a plastic smile,
Though tears welled in her eyes.
She told everyone she was fine,
But she just wanted to cry.

She thought he hated her,
She just couldn't cope.
She marched up to her bathroom,
Carrying a rope.

Angrily, she grabbed some paper,
And wrote down her fears.
It was written with a trembling hand,
And the ink was smudged with tears.

He found the note she'd written,
Filled with sorrow and goodbyes.
But by then, it was too late,
She had already died.
