Now it all seems so unreal,
So vast and so complex,
Time hasn't made it any easier,
To move on and forget.
Things were so much simplier then,
The reasons were so clear,
why I loved you so much.
Now I'm left with emptiness,
Filled with confusion,
Looking forward into time,
The past seems like an illusion.
Standing alone,
Scared and lost,
Sorting thru pieces,
Of my broken heart.
Afraid to ask the questions,
Afraid to know the truth,
That could mean the end,
I'm still holding on to yesterday,
In fear tomorrow our bond ends.
Lacking the strength of conviction,
And the courage to be free,
