Furtive Child

by Wings Of Flames   Feb 15, 2006

Bathing in the blood of virgins,
Encased in crimson fury,
Flames eaten alive,
Evicted by the jury,

The clouds form into swirls,
Crucifixion with rust nails,
A stake burnt through a heart,
Penitence prayers for fails,

Perfection lies not in this time,
Nor in the slip of a noose,
The simple is the fusion,
Defiant for abuse,

The lower that you sink,
The higher you shall fall,
Memories are to forget,
And some nothing at all.....

I dont usually vote, but yours was deserving of a 5. the best poem i've read today :] you create broad imagery & your rhythm is brilliant.

    besides. the topic... is amazing.

    keep up the good work.

    love.
