Icy Mind

by Macabre   Feb 16, 2006

Behind icy eyes,
this sad truth lies,
forgotten in the haze,
of all things said,
during days,
left unto dust,
thoughts starting to rust,
left in the rain,
efforts all vain.

I feel the same,
all the shame,
left with words,
of this and that,
out of angry lips- had they been spat.
I did not accept them,
didn't try harder,
and now my life will end as a martyr.

Rebellious in all ways,
left in this phase,
can't see it past,
expressions all left ghast,
solemn faces,
grim eyes,
behind cold eyes,
they stare at me with that lonesome stare,
longing,
touching not but air.

They hoped I'd change,
but I'm left to my ways,
in this icy mind,
just frozen in time,
blowing off life,
as if it were a game,
set this state of mind,
forgotten even my name.

My cold stare scares them,
my anger,
my hate,
you'd think they would learn- do not tempt fate.

So now I'm a rebel,
a martyr at that,
my name fell,
and on my grave,
they all spat.

Let the demon be gone,
from this icy prison,
kept inside his mind,
forever in that one line,
the rhyme,
the time.

The tree above my grave dies,
blossom color,
begins to fade,
I'm left forever in the shade,
because i was a rebel,
a martyr i am,
murdered i am,
and so i lie forever in this grave,
these icy days,
below the earth,
with the worms,
and the dirt,
killed for my cause,
to rebel.

This poem is directed with hate to all the people in the world who tell you how to act, and how to live. Screw that. Just be true to you! I however, have "died" for my cause. -.- grounded.
