Mum and Me

You brought me into the world,
My life was not yet clear,
Only just a baby,
You always wanted to be near.
I never knew that life could be,
As hard as it has been,
As the years have went on,
Still a lot is left unseen.
God gave you a miracle,
A child for you to love,
I pray that he'll do the same for me,
I plead to god above.
You know life is kinda scary,
Since i have took control,
You know someday it'll break my heart,
Cause you wont be there for me to hold.
I've never said a thank you,
For all the things you've done,
You've deeply touched my heart,
Just by being there mum.
You didn't ever judge me,
Thought taught me right from wrong,
You use to sit me on your lap,
And sing those little songs.
Now that I'm much older,
I can finally write this poem,
You see god gave me a miracle to,
He gave me a special mum.
I know that times are passing,
And someday you wont be here,
Its then I'll look back on these words,
My eye's just filled with tears.
I know you'll be right by my side,
Even though you'll be in gods embrace,
To help me through the hardest times,
To guide me with all the troubles in life i have to face.
So a very special thank you mum,
That comes from deep inside,
I hope you read these beautiful words,
And hold your head way up with pride.
