I suffer every day and night,
I can stand it no longer, die I might.
Death's whisper chills my brittle spine,
tonight my soul is his to dine.

I collapse at the knees, my body so numb,
my breaths shorten and mind becomes dumb.
"Come with me my mortal friend,
now its time for your life to end."

I step into the light so binding,
Death's voice so deep and binding.
He rest his hand upon my weakened shoulder,
my thoughts fall silent and body colder.

My skin pales white and blood stops flowing,
my tongue ties up and sight starts going.
I saw the outline of his cloak,
but did not hear the words he spoke.

My body lay on the cold hard floor,
Death stepped inside and closed my door.
I felt my soul raise from my chest,
I dare not fight, its for the best
