An Atheist grave

by mySilentCrY   Feb 16, 2006

What happened to the one we looked up to?
Where are the gods that they worshiped to?
This is the world in our modern time,
No one to praise with on city hall's shrine.
We're back in the days of the rules of heathens,
Hoping today isn't the last we're breathing.
Why have we lost our inner light and glow?
The Atheist's grave, "All dressed up, nowhere to go."

The dark curtain has conquered our life,
And there's no one to suggest solution in the strife.
Teach us how to kneel to the belief we should have,
How can I reach to faith when I can't even grab?
Our world has no more heroes, Buddhas, or gods,
Just the government yes-men with their heads to nod.
The only acceptable prayer is to a four-leaved clover,
The Atheist's grave, "Life was a party, but now it's over"
