Breathe

by mer   Feb 16, 2006

Nervous, laughing to make up for shaking inside,
The dark night, shines through your soul like an angel
Hold out your hand, hoping I will lace it in mine,
In the warmth of your arms, I will lay my head to rest

Your chest barely moves, your breath is cut short as if trying to keep me as still as you possibly can;
If you moved I would too, so you just stay uncomfortably put

Your hand stroking my cheek, as you life my chin
We both stop breathing for a second as lightheadedness seems to make us float towards each other
Ones last look in your eye then darkness takes over me,
Wondering whats going on outside,
As I feel your lips gently touch mine,
Pause and then pull back,
Im reassured that all the love in the world could have just gone into one kiss...
