The last time I saw him
He was very sick and on his death bed.
He always wore a smile,
and a twinkle in his eye.
He was so full of joy
He could make anyone smile.
I gave him a
Kiss and a hug
Then I told him I loved him,
That was the last time I
Saw him alive.
I cried so much, enough to make a lake,
When I saw him dressed his best,
Wearing his loving smile,
For all the rest to see,
Sleeping in peace.
I thought he'd always be there,
That's only what I thought,
But now he's in a better place.
I'll love you grandpa,
Till the day I lay in that coffin
Looking my best,
That's when you'll always be there,
Just like I thought.
** I wrote this poem about my
grandpa Hopper. He was truely the best grandpa anyone could ever have. It been 10 years since he has died, and i miss him very very much. I will love him till the day i die. I LOVE YOU GRANDPA!!
