Batheing in a Vase

by Leah   Feb 16, 2006

She's frightened
because he's coming home
she doesn't want to drown
the feeling of terror
crepts up on her
whenever he's around.

Stinging lively in her heart
to lure away the ache
to marry such an abusive man
she know's was a mistake.

Missing his warm touch
the caress upon her thighs
blaming herself for all he does
the hurt that pains her eyes.

He's screaming from
the doorway now
the deathly horrid tone
the touch of hate he leaves
upon her skin
whenever their alone.

Slapping her across the face
he beats her unto death
a puddle of blood lay at his feet
such a vibrant mess.

Leaving the house
he stomps his feet
and what he leaves behind
isn't any evidence
if someone were to find.

A broken woman left to ail
upon some broken grace
just a withered rose
a broken life
batheing in a vase.
