Suddenly frozen to the spot...

Suddenly frozen to the spot
I hear that tune being played again
And all the words around me fade
I feel upon my cheek the rain

The colours all blur into one
My eyes stop, hovering in the air
Its almost like I've seen a ghost
Even though there's no-one there

The breeze i felt blow through the door
No longer makes me cold
I know i wished that it would stop
But didn't think it could be told

And then the music fades away
The objects reappear
People around can move once more
Laughter i can hear

And that's when i look around and see
The rain was just my tears
Nothing around me really stopped
My brain blocked up my ears

And then i see that i know why
My eyes dart round the room
I'm searching once again you see
For someone who's...not here...

And suddenly it all comes clear
My life just seems to disappear
I dont know where i really am
But know that its not here...
