Condemned

by Darkest Knight   Feb 17, 2006

There she lay, a quietly fallen angel
Whom heaven had turned against
Blue eyes staring into oblivion
A soul that would find no rest.
Black hair spilled around her
As the fog that covered her eyes
Never was there one so beautiful
As the angel that here lies.
Her hands on her heart
Feeling it beat its last
Perhaps it beat for him
The lover from her past.
Now enthroned in wood
The picture of beauty lies
Never again to see the moon
Or the sun in its bloody skies.
Beside her throne stood a man
Grieving for what he had done
He kissed the blade, shed a tear,
And said goodbye to the sun.
