Angels

A long time ago,
I was unhappy and alone,
Unable to find
the right guy to call my own.

Love never seemed
to be my thing.
It seemed to weigh me down,
like a broken wing.

I had always wondered,
if I could ever fall in love.
I hoped and prayed to god,
hoping he would send me an angel from above.

And one day,
my wish came true.
One very special day,
I met you!

God had granted my prayer,
And I'm thankful he did.
Because now all my feelings
of unhappiness has been rid.

And now I can truly say
that angels do exist.
Because I have one,
and he's the one I kiss.

Today, and tomorrow,
until there is no more forever.
He's the one who will hold me in his arms,
