Everything was so simple..when we were just kids!

Lets go back to when being pushed on a swing,
was the only meaning off getting high,
and skinned knees and elbows,
were the only things to make you cry.
that knifes were for your mum,
when she was preparing your tea,
and daddy tucked you in at night,
and you got to sit up on his knee.
when you never heard a swear word,
and didn't no the meaning off pain,
i wish i could go back to then,
lets go back till we were six again.
when cigarettes were candy sticks,
and coke was always in a glass,
there was no such thing as alcohol,
and weed was a thing in between the grass,
when fighting was just shouting,
and you were tucked into bed at eight,
when you weren't arrested every weekend,
and you were afraid every month you were late.
and you always went to school,
and your mum was your best friend,
i wish i never wished to grow up,
lets go back to then or at least pretend.
