Puberty

CROSSING THAT THRESHOLD
NOW I SEE THE STRUGGLE
EVERY MOMENT I SPENT LEARNING
HOW TO BE HUMBLED

THESE ERAS OF ENLIGHTENMENT
HAVE SHARPENED MY AWARENESS
FOR THESE ARE SEMINARS
TO ELEVATE YOUR PREPAREDNESS

LESSONS ETCHED TO LAST
WON'T JUST FADE AWAY
SOME TURN THE BOWELS AS
MEMORIES MAKE ME PRAY

ASK FORGIVENESS FROM LIFE
FROM TIMES YOU DIDN'T CARE
ASK FORGIVENESS FOR NIGHTS
THAT LEAD TO DESPAIR

STUMBLING IN AND OUT OF TRIALS
HEEDING SOCIALISM NOT LOVE
MOLDING MINDSETS LIKE THE
CLAY MASTERS STONEHENGE DOVE

NOT THE COLOR OF EXACT BUT
TRUE TO THE FORM OF FLIGHT
NOT KNOWING HOW TOMORROW
PORTRAYS THE DOVE IN THE LIGHT

SO IT IS NOT AT 13
DOES ADULTHOOD BEGINS
BUT AT THE DEATH OF IGNORANCE
DOES PUBERTY DESCEND

SO FORTH INTO MORROW,
THE WEEK, THE MONTH, THE YEAR
FOR THE MOMENT OF TRUE
ADULTHOOD DRAWS EVER NEAR

AND YES WISDOM AND DISCERNMENT
TO SOME YOUTH DO COME
BUT MOSTLY 40 CYCLES OF 12
IS WHEN LIFE HAS EYES, EARS AND TONGUE
