Depression, can you get out?

by Holly Hansen   Feb 19, 2006

It runs your life
It takes over
Your no longer you
but a slave to pain and hurt
It moves in so quick but so slow and you do the only thing you know
So you cry and pray it will go away
and when it doesnt you just want to die
and you cant because to many people will cry
theres no way out and you have no way to choose
Do you stay on this earth for your friends and family or do you put yourself out of this missery
Depression is bad and it will ruin you but the sun will come out someday soon
you start to see the light the pain is almost gone
and then a dark spell takes over and its hard to hold on
but you keep fighting and it fades again
Your happy and your you once again

Very good poem. The only thing that you need to work on is the length of some of the lines. Some could be brocken down into two and so on. But other then that I really like this poem:) 4/5
