The One Thing I Want

by lonelynow   Feb 19, 2006

I don't see what there is to live for
Knowing I could just curl up and die
I don't see what there is to pray for
Cos the one thing I want you say is a lie

Still every night I asked in my prayers
And my soul cried and my body wept
I wept for the one thing I hold treasured
And I cried for promises kept

I'd kill for my wanting; I'd die for my pleasure
But still my disappointment sings sky high
I beg for the deliverance of my only wish
For any longer and I shall surely die

In exchange for my one delight
I'd give away every item I own
But every time, still you deny me
And my dark soul lets out a slow moan
