A Different View

by daniel   Feb 19, 2006

Here we are again,
In this all too familiar place,
In these all too familiar clothes.
But this time,
It was all too sudden,
A victim of a crime.
Family lining up,
One by one,
Children arranging flowers in a basket.
And you,
Standing there with a smile on your face,
Remembering good times,
And shedding a tear,
For the bad.
Oh how the funeral changed,
When I viewed it from the casket.

Wow that is really good. I love how it seems so normal and then at the end it just turns to this sad place. It is really hard to write good sad poetry and you did it.
