Praying....

My voice is finally being heard,
But this wasn't my choice,
My life has been changed,
My heart re-arranged...

Praying to god,
Was all I have,
Its still all I have,
Since you went away,
I knew that from the start,
You weren't here to stay...

Asking for forgiveness,
Every day,
The only one to accept it,
Was god all the way...

I tried to ask you back,
To open my heart,
Rewind back to the start,
But all you did was lie,
And told me you weren't the guy...

So all I have now,
Are the words from the lord,
To protect me from hurt,
To keep my out of harms way,
To find a guy willing to stay...

As I sit here with my bible,
My only hope, and friend,
I know that forever,
Its with me till the end,
No matter how hard life is.
