It'll fade like the stars

The pressure is back,
And the temptation begins...
The lights go black,
And nobody wins...

I'm in this fight again,
With right and with wrong...
It's a very old friend,
That stuck with me all along...

It's only me and pain,
And i want to give in...
But what will i have left to maintain,
After i start to begin...

One cut will lead to another,
And another goes to ten...
Then it gets hard to cover,
And you just have to pretend...

In a crowded room,
You're checking your sleeves...
Hoping that you can leave soon,
In-case your pain again bleeds....

Only you and your pain marker,
Can fully understand...
That you're doing this since things got darker,
And that the end of your life may be held in your hand...

You understand the consequences,
But you know the pain...
And these horrible sequences,
Are too rough to maintain...

Just make one, only one line,
Stop and watch it bleed...
Feel the pain start to unwind,
And realize this is what you need...

A towel that's a little moist,
Covers your cuts of tears...
Not ashamed of this choice,
Since you've been closed up all these years

You wrap your weapon of choice,
Place it back in the sock drawer...
You ignore your conscious voice,
And act like nothing happened like before...

I'll put on the smile,
While i remake some scars...
The pain will stop after a while,
And it'll all fade like stars...
