Hidden Feelings

by Tiff   Feb 20, 2006

In the room sits a girl.
Captured by her thoughts she cries
The room around her is silent and still
The walls imprison her,
Seducing her bit by bit,
Like the haze seizes the moon.
The dreams she longs for float away,
As she reaches for them she screams
Her fears entwine around her body
Pulling her down deeper and deeper.
Now in a place of darkness she runs
Thorns wrap around her broken body
Old wounds start to open up
She tried to run but staggers to the floor
Old ghosts rise from the ground around her
Haunting her and reminding her of all the pain
All the hurt she tried to hide..
Tried so hard to bury from her thoughts,
But she had failed; She could never win now,
She could never be free from the hurt in her heart.
It was no one else problem;
she had to cope on her own
It was only herself who could defeat the curse
But now all the pain from her past would never die..
Not now that she had given up.
As she lays on the floor torn into pieces
A single silent tear falls down her cheek,
Feelings of emptiness and sadness flow through her.
As daylight breaks she crawls into bed,
Wishing that she could hold onto this calm moment,
But knowing that this could never be done
As the darkness always returns at dusk.
It returns to remind her theres no escape.
It always finds you..
Always
