The Prison of My Mind

by Hina   Feb 20, 2006

Manipulation
--
A Modest beginning
Toward mental
Incognito, along with
The scorching
Of one's mind.
Turns twilight into a Horizon
Of blood
We cannot find

Needles in veins
Crying, laughing, screaming
The gain of pain
Remains unknown to
Those of us
Who turn the other way

For Miss Keys
I was a prisoner
Of words
But tonight,
Im in a jail
Awaiting jurisdiction
A fair trial
Maybe some agony
Maybe some prejudice
For words
Misinterpreted

Let the lock
BURST
With no access to a key
Instead,
Access toward
The righteousness
Of God
From one humble servant,
To you

I really liked this one. I think my favorite part of this poem was this:

    Im in a jail
    Awaiting jurisdiction
    A fair trial
    Maybe some agony
    Maybe some prejudice
    For words
    Misinterpreted

That said a lot to me. Keep up the good work because you are really talented.

Well done poem. The flow I think could be better but over all this piece that you wrote was great. Keep up the great work.

Wow, that was a nice read! As you had previously mentioned your poems are not for novices, and that is true. I definately enjoyed your upper level poems, it was a nice breath of fresh air. Brillant poem love. I liked the way you spaced you poem, the different sections you divided it into with each section having something new to add to the poem. Nice work!

Very descriptive and beautiful writting I love that is sets itself apart from the usual cliche poems that are often on this site. Also you managed to create a good poem without rhymeing good job
