We were talking once again,
it was getting late that night,
you told me that you loved me,
but that just cant be right.

i know you care about me,
you've shown it through and through,
but none of this is love,
and what you said wasn't true.

I'm guessing you said it,
to reassure yourself i cared,
but I'm not sure i understand,
you know I'll always be there.

so please don't throw those words around,
as if they meant anything at all,
don't pretend you've fallen in love with me,
until you really fall.
