Face In The Sky

How far is too far?
how about the heavens, gods, and the
stars?

most would think its just a bunch
of space,
but in reality in the stars lies someones
face.

somebody beautiful, someone kind,
with a wonderful soul and an open mind.

he always knew he has something to
live for,
that reason he soon discovers is the
most amazing girl.

he wandered throughout living and dying,
and many nights of crying.

he has been hurt before,
by this dark and cruel world.

so then one day he journeyed through
the skies of the universe,
to release this haunting curse.

he felt as he had no meaning, no
reason to live,
like he was worthless with nothing
to give.

from a distance so far,
he come to find this bright beautiful
star.

it didn't appear to be much at first,
just another drink to satisfy his thirst.

only this time when he went to drink,
he realized something that made him
think.

what if i was to open up, let
someone in
it could turn out good, or get the
same run around again.

he felt as if there was something magical,
something wild, the passion he felt
for her was like a fire.

it burned so deep, rose so high,
every time he thought about her, he felt
as if he could fly.

he would travel across the heavens
for hundreds of miles,
just to hear her laugh, and see her
smile.
