the rain is slashing earth wards,

these dark clouds up above me,
circle round and round,
getting lower and lower,
pressing to the ground,
will it open up beneath me?,
gather me safe and warm,
never release me,
to the growing storm,
spinning round and round now,

faster beats my heart now,
how the panic burns,
i cannot go on,
empty space on front and side,
looking wildly round me,
nowhere left to hide,
