Rumors

It starts out as the truth
People talking about someone
But as it spreads
It becomes more and more lies
Until finally, it reaches the person talked about
And the truth isn't there anymore
Why do we spread rumors?
Why do we tell lies?
Why do we spread rumors
That make people cry
Why can't we fight it?
Because all we know are lies

    Why do we spread rumors?
    - because they wanted status for themself
    Rumors do make some people cry
    - they want others to be way down as they want themself noticed or popular
    or because of jealousy

    Simple, but with a very good point, and a question I would love to know the answer to sometime. Rumors are meaningless and just a way for others to feel bigger by making others feel small. A great write with a lot to say.
